Thread We recently commissioned the Independent Engineers assessment report in the presence of key stakeholders among which included ERA the regulator, UEGCL among others. The assessment examined the useful remaining life of both Nalubaale and Kiira dams.

It was conducted by the consultant Hatch. They reported that Nalubaale dam has over 60 years of remaining useful life while the Kiira dam has over 86 years. In terms of major equipment Nalubaale has over 10-40 years while KPS still has 30-60 years.
