Starting Monday, 19 May, #MyNDMA will roll out the next phase of food distribution to the most vulnerable communities, beginning in the Lubombo region. This phase will reach over 262,000 beneficiaries across the country and will run for two months, ending in July 2025.

As part of our continued efforts to reduce vulnerability and build community resilience, #MyNDMA has reached a total of 5,515 households, benefiting 26,818 individuals with food assistance from Monday to Wednesday this week.

Eswatini has activated its national response to the Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak. FMD spreads fast even before symptoms show. Movement of animals is now restricted in affected areas, especially around the Shiselweni region.

In the spirit of resilience and recovery, #MyNDMA, working closely with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, is nearing completion of critical works at Tricash. The Mkhondvo Bridge at Masini, along the D5 road, was completely cut off by devastating floods in January 2025.

The Ministry of Agriculture and #MyNDMA held a joint press briefing today on the FMD outbreak. So far, 200 cattle have tested positive in 13 of 54 redlined dip tanks in Shiselweni. Over 1,000 may already be infected. Vaccination plans are underway. #NkweToDisasterPreparedness
