Congrats to my good friends Ethan Toriki and James Papatzimas on getting this amazing work out!!

So happy to finally see our story on the rational design of molecular glue degraders out ACS Central Science. Such an amazing effort from Ethan Toriki, the Dan Nomura group, and the entire Novartis Science team!

So thrilled to finally share our story in ACS Central Science on our transplantable covalent handle to rationally design molecular glue degraders! Fantastic work done by James Papatzimas, Daniela DankovĆ”, Dan Nomura and the lab, and Novartis Science! Congrats to all involved!

Amazing day at Chemical Biology in the Bay Area Day at ā¦College of Chemistryā© with great talks and posters from students and keynote speakers ā¦David R. Liuā© virtually and ā¦Carolyn Bertozziā© in-person!

Dan Nomura & co-workers identify a rational chemical design strategy for converting nondegradative protein-targeting ligands into molecular glue degraders of their target proteins. NEW #ASAP Read it here: go.acs.org/4Um

Best conference ever in beautiful Barcelona!! Thanks Cris Mayor-Ruiz @georg_e_winter for putting together such a fabulous meeting with a stellar lineup of speakers!!

Excited to showcase our new bioRxiv frm postdocs @floraliciaflor & Nafsika Forte on the discovery of covalent degraders of oncogenic transcription factor b-catenin (CTNNB1) via destabilization! In our latest preprint, we used SuFEx chemistry on solid phase for a quick and easy library synthesis of HDACis: doi.org/10.26434/chemr⦠This was a fun project started by Michael Bæk and developed by Tobias Nørby Hansen and I, with great help from Erasmus student Linda Grlas! 1/8

Super excited to share our story on the the rational design of monovalent degraders using a DCAF16 covalent handle alongside with an amazing postdoc Thang Do Cong !!! Huge thanks to Dan Nomura Ethan Toriki Lauren Orr James Papatzimas and Novartis Science for making this possible!

Check out this amazing preprint from the lab of Dan Nomura, where Melissa Lim, Thang Do Cong, and a brilliant team discovered a transplantable covalent DCAF16 recruiter for rationally synthesizing monovalent degraders against a diverse array of protein targets!

Congrats to our chemical biology College of Chemistry grad students from our lab Margot Meyers and Ethan Toriki who are graduating with their PhDās based on their work on discovering a DDB1 recruiter for PROTACs and a degradative covalent handle/E3 ligase pair for rational design of

Congrats to Melissa Lim & Thang Do Cong on their ACS Central Science paper on the discovery of a minimal degradative covalent handle that targets DCAF16 for rational design of monovalent degraders! What an insane journey. Last month, I graduated from UC Berkeley with my PhD in Chemical Biology. I am eternally grateful to my mentor Dan Nomura, my family, and all the wonderful friends I have made during my time in The Bay. Thank you so much for your never-ending support!

I'm so excited to announce that I'll be joining Novartis Science in Cambridge as a Discovery Postdoctoral Fellow!! I'll be using chemical biology and chemoproteomics to advance covalent drug discovery! And HUGE thanks to Anand Divakaran and the lab for an amazing send-off ceremony!
