Next week (2/26-3/1) is our AVID College & Career Spirit Week. Each day, we have a different dress up day for our students along with other daily activities in our classes. We hope you will participate with us and encourage our students to work hard to be college & career ready!

We took time this morning to recognize and show appreciation to our amazing bus drivers. We provided them with breakfast and let them know how thankful we are for them. We love our EMS bus drivers!

We had a great time tonight at the Night of Stars Celebration honoring our Rookie Teacher of the Year: Ms. Courtney Campbell. Ms. Campbell was one of only three finalists in all of LCS for the District Rookie Teacher of the Year. Congratulations Courtney, we are so proud of you!

Our students and families had an amazing time on the recent Washington DC/Virginia field trip! Our students, parents, and staff learned so much and got to see so many incredible sights. Thank you so much to Ms. Wills for providing this incredible opportunity for our Mustangs!

Attention Mustangs: Yearbooks are in! They will be sold/distributed to students beginning on 4/22 before school each morning. Cost is $40 – cash or checks only. Students who preordered can pick their books up in the mornings. Only a limited number of yearbooks are available!

This past weekend our EMS Jazz Band received a Superior rating and were awarded the Outstanding Middle School Trumpet Section of the day at Lakeside Jazz Festival! Mr. Balderson and our students have worked incredibly hard and we are proud of them. Awesome job Mustangs!

We had a great time celebrating our amazing clerical staff today for Administrative Professionals' Day! We appreciate them for all of their hard work and dedication to our school!

Ms. Veatch, Ms. Mojica, Ms. Sliman, and Ms. Mitchell took their students on an amazing field trip to Eustis High School today! They even made a pit stop at Chick-fil-A 😎. Thank you for providing this awesome experience for our students!

We had an incredible time tonight getting to know our incoming students and families at our 6th Grade Orientation. We cannot wait until the fall when you are officially Mustangs!

Two of our amazing Mustangs were recognized this past weekend at the Sons of the American Revolution Awards Ceremony for placing in their brochure contest. Sherlyn Garcia finished in 2nd place and Maddison Reynolds finished in 3rd place. Awesome job Mustangs!

We kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week today with donuts and a coffee bar for our staff. Thank you so much to Ricki Black and the new Dunkin' in Eustis for donating the donuts. We are looking forward to a fun week of celebrating our teachers and staff. We love our EMS teachers!
