The European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM-S) conducted the Ammo Depot course at the GDTC to train the Somali National Army. EUTM-S works in partnership with the SNA & MoD to build the capacity of Somali Defence Institutions.

The Somali Air Force, in partnership with EUTM-Somalia, has completed a four-week computer seminar to strengthen digital skills—marking a key step in the ongoing modernization of Somalia’s armed forces.

EUTM-S, SNAF, & AUSSOM successfully completed the Green Shield I/25 exercise at GDTC . This landmark LIVEX saw SNAF forces participating directly. It's the first time SNAF/TRADOC, EUTM-S, and AUSSOM jointly planned & executed an exercise, enhancing C2 & on-ground procedures.

On June 21, EUTM-Somalia welcomed a high-level delegation from Somalia’s Ministry of Defense, led by DG Mohamed Omar, for strategic talks on defense reform. Discussions focused on boosting institutional capacity, accountability, and Somali-led security.

This week, an @EU_EEAS delegation visited Mogadishu’s Federal Darwish and General Dhagabadan Training Centres to see EU security support in action.
