One of the most exciting new courses this year is The Keep at McLemore . Designed by Bill Bergin, ASGCA & Rees Jones, it graces the ridge line of Lookout Mountain in Northwest Georgia. Keep an eye out as The Keep may contend for the title of the best new golf course of 2025.

Last week at Baltusrol Golf Club my primary focus was capturing photos of the Upper Course. However, I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of the Lower Course, especially with the recent changes in its views following the restoration of the Upper Course by Gil Hanse.

Exciting news from Oyster Harbors Club on Cape Cod! The restoration work blending Donald Ross & Gil Hanse's expertise has resulted in something truly wonderful. Drawing inspiration from the 1920s, Gil & his team meticulously restored this gem of a course.

Momma told me there would be mornings like this...low level fog enveloped Oyster Harbors Club early this morning & without a moments notice a break in the clouds allowed me to capture a few pics of the par 3 17th hole..(1st photo) the remainder of the morning wasn't bad either.

Who would have imagined a golf resort in the heart of Wisconsin, built on sandy terrain, would become wildly successful & one of the world's premier golf destinations? This is exactly the remarkable story of Sand Valley..a place I'm eagerly looking forward to revisiting next week

Depending on the ranking, Long Island is home to 7 or 8 top 100 courses in the country. Among these my personal favorite, & one I would gladly play & photograph every day, is The Creek. Designed by Macdonald & Raynor, this course consistently delivers an unforgettable experience.

7 years ago, I traversed the terrain that now is Sedge Valley. the landscape was adorned w/ scrub brush, oaks, and of course sedge. Tom Doak has since sculpted this area into a captivating par 68 course, blending enjoyment and beauty with a masterful layout Sand Valley Golf Tom Doak

My first encounter w/ David McLay-Kidd Sand Valley Golf 7 years ago was nothing short of captivating. As he led me on a tour of Mammoth Dunes, his creative vision & dedication shone through, not to mention his exuberance for the project. What a treat to return to these dunes this week

This morning's early light & shadows beautifully highlight the contours of The Lido. Originally situated on the south shore of Long Island, this CB Macdonald gem now thrives a 1000 miles to the west in the sandy landscapes of central Wisconsin at Sand Valley Golf .

Ending an amazing week at Sand Valley Golf on a high note, w/ the late afternoon light at The Lido, is truly special. I'm deeply appreciative of this golf course & the remarkable work of Brian Schneider , Brian Zager Tom Doak & their teams in restoring it to its former glory.

There's going to be a new course in town at Sand Valley Golf coming in 2026. Jim Craig who for years has been coore & crenshaw man on the ground now has his first solo design. And, from the looks of it, it's going to be a really winner.

Over 25 years ago, Bandon Dunes unveiled its inaugural golf course crafted by David McLay-Kidd . Not surprisingly, thousands flock to play golf here every year. . Excitingly, next week, Bandon Dunes will be the host venue for the 125th US Women's Amateur Championship. USGA

Next week the US Amateur returns to the Lake & Ocean courses at The Olympic Club with the match play part of the tournament being played on The Lake Course...The 2025 US Amateur will be the 91st USGA championship played in California and the 12th at The Olympic Club.

Some experiences are timeless, like a visit to Old Sandwich, the exquisite golf course designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in the Sand Barrens near Cape Cod, Massachusetts. If the opportunity arises, don't miss the chance to play at this remarkable golf course.
