I assisted my neigh bour George in an escape from a velcro monster that had been attached to his face. Am unsure how he would have coped but thanks to my bravery he was freed, obviously. Protecs may not be on the heath anymore but am still vigilant🥕

Racehorses are being bred to breed and sales instead of breeding to be a racehorse. The goal in Breeding now is to breed a very nice looking horse for sales or one good enough to get breding contract.

I think its very important for this "industry" to understand all the problems that still exist with aftercare and horse welfare- everyone is trying including the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and so many in the "industry"- I think its time for a United front of everyone including the big

Repole Stable I suggest you write one big fucking check and offer to double it if the other "entities" join in. And I MEAN a BIG FUCKING CHECK. Replace TAA yourself. And The Jockey Club automatically revokes registration to anyone who refuses to help a horse they bred.

Repole Stable Go big on the same concept as the Thoroughbred Makeover - Set aside 1% of all purse money to go to a series of 8-10 regional Shows/Events and a final Workd Show with big purses exclusively for former race horses. NCHA and others have it figured out,$$$ talks

🚨 THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE 🚨 @JockeyClub NTRA IFAR Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Paulick Report More Thoroughbreds dumped at kill pens No traceability No safety net No retirement fund No accountability No transparency This industry is broken The time is NOW to fix it

"Pat Cummings and I, through the NTA, gave the Jockey Club and one of their Stewards, our findings and a path to self-fund and transform aftercare." Repole Stable is path you laid out for them anywhere we can see it? If we all knew what it was...I'm sure many would be happy to

Thank you N.Y. breeder Maggie Seidman for setting the example. We will honor her as the Thoroughbred Fund’s 2025 Champion of Aftercare on July 22nd following our Board meeting at the Racing Museum.

I hope you’ll join me in asking OBSSales to reconsider their role as the primary supplier of horses to Puerto Rico. Fact: In 2024, 50.5% of the horses euthanized were just 3 and 4 years old — many of them sourced through OBS.

😢😢😢So here is another thoroughbred that will be added to our next poster of thoroughbreds at feedlots. His name is Big Money Machine (KY) Tattoo Q15228) and he is at the Stroud, OK lot. He had 101 lifetime starts, raced at several racetracks and made over $230,00. Lot said he

Canada Candy has done enough - Our foundation has claimed her to retire. We can keep to our mission but we need more of your help. Please go to our website Diamondracehorseaftercare.org and make a donation.

He was once a million dollar baby with all the right connections… ran in stakes company at Saratoga only to end up helpless in Puerto Rico.

So nice to see that any momentum that seemed to come from the previous Fasig Tipton 2YO in training sale about doing normal gallops and breezes basically has already evaporated with OBS. I guess it really does take a severe act of Mother Nature and a horses death to invoke

POLICY OPTION. Bred by Gainesway Farm. Sold for $240,000 at Keeneland. 53 starts later earning over $360,000 ENDS UP HERE. Tr. Michael Simone sold him in March to PR supposedly. Thanks to Gainesway farm for stepping up to get him out of this hell hole.

nancy mulkern Nancy, not sure who was the last person to dump him but there was an ad for him back in the day at one time for $10,000 as an Eventer. This horse more than did what was asked of him. How many hands has he passed through? Where was his safety net at the end of the line? So tired

Jenine Sahadi When the industry decides that it’s had enough and this is unacceptable. Right now those who can force change pretended it’s not a problem. They said they wouldn’t pay the extortion anymore so they stopped. TBs still end up in these situations and are helped by random people,

The Bridge Sanctuary Rehoming horses is great and all but it sickens me that organizations like yours are left to beg on sm! The model for rescue is broken! This is an industry wide problem that needs to be addressed after decades of failure. Where is the leadership on this? Non existent apparently
