Really grateful to @jdvjournal for this beautiful reprint of the first chapter of #ToCrownwithLiberty in their spring issue, as well as for hosting me for their May book club last night. It’s so wonderful to see Catholic arts and letters flourishing in Louisiana!

Besides, the more time I spend in priesthood, the more I believe that a liturgical reform without a prior moral reform of the clergy will solve exactly zero problems and distract us from identifying and excising that deeper rot in the life of the Church.
