It was great to speak about our research on disability employment at the Eye Health & VI APPG this week. We look forward to working with Alison McGovern and Sir Stephen Timms to address the lack of assistive tech in jobcentres. Thank you Marsha de Cordova for inviting us.

Dilani Siriwardena from Royal College of Ophthalmologists talks about the importance of moving forwards prevention, integration and the need for more training of opportunities for people in the sector.

Eye Health & VI APPG Sam became blind 11 years ago and is sharing her experience. She speaks powerfully about the barriers sheās faced, and urges the full implementation of the Accessible Information Standard (AIS). āI want my info, my way."

Finally, Shockat Adam MP speaks about his experience as an optometrist, he speaks about the importance of prevention in the sector, raising awareness for the difficulties facing blind and partially sighed people and the need for the Government to take action on this.

The College was delighted to attend the Eye Health & VI APPG meeting in Parliament today. College President Dr Gillian Rudduck MCOptom met with the Chair Marsha de Cordova MP and optometrist Shockat Adam MP to discuss the future of eye care in the NHS 10-year health plan. #Optometry
