Today in Rome, Hon. Minister Mark Cyubahiro Bagabe, PhD held a bilateral meeting with the Director General of Food and Agriculture Organization. They discussed mobilizing resources for Rwanda’s agricultural investments, launching initiatives for key value chains, and advancing PSTA5 implementation.

Last week, FAO in Rwanda proudly joined the closing ceremony of the 18th #RwandaAgriShow2025, reaffirming our commitment to transforming Rwanda’s #AgrifoodSystems. We are honored to be recognized for our support, and we are eager to continue this impactful collaboration.

On the sidelines of the 44th #FAOConference, DG FAO Director-General QU Dongyu met with Rwanda’s Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Mark Cyubahiro Bagabe. He commended the strong partnership between FAO in Rwanda and reaffirmed FAO’s commitment to deepening cooperation on #FoodSecurity & production.

UNW Rep Jennet Kem led the UN Rwanda Gender, Human Rights & Diversity Inclusion group in a sensitisation workshop on gender, rights & inclusivity-based programming at UNICEF, equipping staff with tools to integrate these principles in the new UN Cooperation Framework 2025–2029.

Today, FAO in Rwanda, together with Rwanda Agriculture & Animal Resources Devpt Board and support from EU Delegation to Rwanda under the #DeSIRA project, handed over water tanks to 100 dairy farmers in Nyagatare District to boost resilience, improve livestock productivity, and promote sustainable water use in Rwanda’s dairy sector.
