Get ready for Homecoming Week! From Spirit Week to Bite of Braddock, we've got a lot happening!

Bite of Braddock will be this Friday on the Blacktop starting at 5 PM. Come by for food trucks, music and fun before the Homecoming Football Game!

Due to the forecasted rain this afternoon, we must cancel the homecoming parade.  Stay tuned for a potential rain date. Bite of Braddock will take place in the gym lobby and cafeteria from 5-7; our classes and clubs look forward to offering a wide variety of fare for everyone!

Shanah tovah to our Jewish community celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year! Meaning “head of the year,” Rosh Hashanah is one of Judaism’s holiest days and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection that ends with Yom Kippur. #OurFCPS

A reminder that schools will be closed on Wednesday, October 3 for Rosh Hashanah. There will be a teacher workday on Thursday, October 4. We look forward to having our Bruins return to school on Monday, October 7.

Friday, November 1, is a holiday this year for Diwali and Dia de los Muertos and All Saints Day. All schools and offices will be closed. Schools are closed for students on Monday, November 4, for a school planning day, and Tuesday, November 5, for a teacher workday.

Thursday, October 31, is the last day of the first quarter, and a two-hour early release for students.

We wish a fun Diwali to all celebrating! Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs & some Buddhists. The festival represents the symbolic victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. #OurFCPS

We will be having a blood donation drive in the gym on Tuesday, Nov 19, starting at 8 AM. Parent permission is required to donate blood. Permission slips can be picked up at lunch the week of November 11-15, or from room A212. Your small act of kindness can make a big difference.
