As always, a shoutout to Friendship Fire Assn for staffing their canteen unit and responding to the 2 Alarm fire to provide refreshments to firefighters and other emergency workers. And, special thanks to a neighbor who brought out Mediterranean pastries for our members. #DCsBravest

As they always do, the Friendship Fire Assn responded with Canteen 2 to assist our members at the working fire on Newton Street NW. These volunteers provided rehydration at the rehab sector, located in a firehouse a short distance from the incident. #DCsBravest

Sunday May 18th was an important training day for the Friendship Fire Association. Museum Curator Mark Tennyson and Assistant Curator Marc Lippman were joined by DC Fire and EMS Foundation Executive Director Amy Mauro and DC Fire and EMS Foundation Archivist Amy Fogle.

Archivist Amy Fogle provided training on preservation of photographs utilizing acid free paper. An important step preserving the FFA’s photographic collection.

Our main canteen unit is currently in Baltimore City assisting Box 414 Association. Canteen Unit 1 is running calls while Canteen 2 remains in the city ready to assist #DcsBravest.

Saturday June 7th the Friendship Fire Association was represented in the World Pride Parade by FFA Member Steven Bobys. We thank him for his continued service to the FFA and representing our organization.

This Sunday at 1PM we invite everyone to come out and watch The Last Run. Please come join us and tell your friends and family.

Come out tomorrow and watch The Last Run tomorrow at 1pm starting at 635 North Carolina Ave. , SE. Bring your friends and family!

In about 50 minutes The Last Run will happen. You can grab your camera and family too. Head to 635 North Carolina Ave., SE and turn back the calendar to 100 years ago!

The Friendship Fire Association would like to announce we have postponed our drawing of the raffle tickets till Tuesday June 17th at 8pm. This will allow us to conduct the drawing in our museum during the June FFA meeting. 5 tickets will be drawn for the prizes at this time.
