SOFTBALL ALL-AREA SHOW Had a great time talking to so many of our great softball players on Fox Sports Radio 94.7FM & 1230AM this morning at the Clubhouse Grille. It was a whirlwind with lots of award winners. Thanks to Chuck Frantz, Tom Fallon, Jack Heym, Andrew Stone for all of their help.

LIFETIME COACHING AWARD Went to Easton Athletics leader Ed McIntyre who just completed his 43rd season and won his 520th game when his team beat Nazareth 5-0 for the District 11 6A gold. His granddaughter, Audrey Rinda, had a 4-hitter with 10 Ks. She’s our EPC pitcher of the year.

Congratulations again on a great sophomore season and the East Penn Conference championship. Well done! And the award is well deserved!

CARPENTER CUP GAME 1 In their first game of the tournament, played today at Marple Newtown HS, Lehigh Valley and Olympic Colonial from New Jersey are 0-0 after 5 innings. Neither team has a hit. Whitehall’s Morgan Laub (center in photo) tossed 4 hitless innings.

A TOUCH OF NAZARETH? Just as Blue Eagle Softball did a few times in the PIAA tournament, the Lehigh Valley Softball Carpenter Cup team rallied with 3 runs in the 7th inning to pull out a 4-3 win over Olympic Colonial at Marple Newtown HS in Game 1. No time to rest. 2 more games today.
