Thanks to the Friends of Thomas Plume's Library and Friends of the Nations' Libraries (FNL), we now have a replacement copy of a book that was missing from the original collection. Thanks also Robert and Adam at Konstantinopel R van den Graven for excellent service.
Were there too - Bonnie Baker.bsky.social - *calling libraries, archives, special collections and museums to join us there too!*
And so are we! National Manuscripts Conservation Trust. Join us - you know you want toβ¦.
FNL members had a fantastic visit to Senate House Library yesterday! So rewarding for members, whose subs allow us to give more acquisition grants, to see some of the rare books and manuscripts they helped to save, including 16thC cookery books & an 18thC conjurer's flip book!
Delighted that we could help King's College, Cambridge save the export-stopped Alan Turing 'Delilah' archive for the nation. The support from XTX Markets was quite incredible and ensured that this hugely significant archive is now at King's and is accessible to all in perpetuity.
With the summer auction season underway, a reminder to the UK's national, regional, local, specialist, university and museum collectors of archives that you can apply to Friends of the Nations' Libraries (FNL) for an acquisition grant. We can make a decision in days if necessary. fnl.org.uk/apply
