We have so many incredible women supporting FYFB. From our staff to our many volunteers, our board, and donors, women ensure that we open our doors each day to serve those in need. To all the women standing with us THANK YOU for your efforts! #IWD2025 #AccelarateAction

On average we served 5,818 community members each week this March, a 15% increase over March 2024. Food insecurity has reached critical levels in our city and has been declared an emergency. We are grateful to our team of volunteers who ensure that we meet the ever rising need.

Last week the Board and staff of FYFB got together for a strategic planning session to plan for the year ahead. The group is aligned on continuing our commitment to building on our mission of feeding the hungry and re-connecting residents to our community. Thank you team!

As we take a look back over the last six years, we note that we have continued to see increases every year. We expect that this trend will continue, given the current state of uncertainty in our economy. We are forever grateful to our team of volunteers and staff !

We couldn’t do what we do without our incredible volunteers! Every day of the week, we’re joined by generous individuals—families, retirees, corporate teams, Rotary Clubs, and community—who keep our grocery hampers and hot meals running strong. This is what community looks like!

This is the 6th season of our Urban Garden! It adds beautiful greenery to our outdoor space and even better, it provides greens, herbs, and vegetables that we give in our hampers or use for our meal programs. Thank you to everyone who helped! 🌱🍃🥬

We’re back! We’ve been open again since Wednesday and we’re busier than ever - 1,754 of our neighbors served in our first two days open! We’re grateful to have a refreshed space. Thank you to our staff and volunteers who put the food bank back in order!

My penultimate delivery with @thebikebrigade before we move to Vancouver! The Fort York Food Bank is one of my favourite places, and it was great to catch up with Julie! Such an awesome group there. Going to miss the Bike Brigade rides, hoping there's something like it in Vancouver.
