Impressive work from Andy Pages' lower half on this swing. He's been able to meet a lot of balls out in front and generate power that way – even on pitches low in the zone.

The Dodgers won, 5-4. They are 43-29 and have taken consecutive series now against the Padres and Giants. Dustin May allowed three runs in six innings. Andy Pages had the big swing in the fifth. Tanner Scott had a dominant ninth. On deck: four games against the Padres at home.

Dave Roberts sang a much different tune postgame here on Roki Sasaki. "He's pain-free. When we start that build-up, it should be soon. He's already moving around. We all feel encouraged where he's at right now, as far as the pain."

Shohei Ohtani’s return to the mound means I want to reheat this story from 2021 on the most fascinating few minutes of Ohtani’s two-way prowess — the ability to shift from the mound to the plate and just how difficult it is to do at all, let alone well: nytimes.com/athletic/27038…
