It’s with a heavy heart that I post this. Ralph, our dear friend, Holocaust survivor and the primary subject of the documentary we’ve been working on, died yesterday in Los Angeles, aged 94. We are still shocked and devastated.

But we are also incredibly grateful to him, Barbara, and their family for opening their doors and trusting us. We spent an entire year working together and making plans, which allowed us to become friends. Hearing his stories brought pain and healing at the same time.

Auschwitz camp was originally created in spring 1940 mainly as a tool of terror in German-occupied Poland. Its first prisoners were members of Polish leadership, resistance & intellectuals - people arrested for their real or potential "threat" for the Reich.
