Former footballer and official Mahrez Abu Awda has been killed in Gaza. Mahrez was a beloved figure in the Gaza football community, especially at Beit Hanoun Club, where he had grown up. He is the 501st Palestinian footballer killed by Israel. 14 of them were killed in July.
