“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalms 56:3 Softball players are brave by nature. It takes 💪 to get on that mound or in that batters box. But it’s normal to be fearful of life’s challenges. Trust God to help you.

“But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.” John 3:21 Lead by actions. Live in the light. Have a positive effect in your locker room.

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalms 119:105 🥎 decisions can be difficult. What team do I play with? Where to go to college? Should I continue playing or choose another path? Ask God for help.

“Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.” 1 Chronicles 16:24 Travel and college softball give you a unique platform to share God’s great work and love.

“I wanted to tell you, I think it was amazing…. Pause: This is where I thought they would say “U incorporate XYZ w/ ur OF” or “Ur women are aggressive on the bases.” Instead “…that you aren’t afraid to incorporate Christ in your presentations.” Jesus, the OG of #outlove

“I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” Ecclesiastes 1:14 Know what you are chasing in this sport. It is about rankings and photo shoots - or something more?

“You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth -” Ecclesiastes 11:9 Enjoy every moment on the 🥎 field with teammates.

“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:11 🥎 is your sport - not your foundation. Only a foundation of Jesus Christ will withstand life’s fires and storms.

“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9 Paul led by example and action. You can too!

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts.” Colossians 3:14 When you put on your team jersey - clothe yourself with love too.

We call it Good Friday now but on that day nothing seemed “good”. It was dark at midday. Jesus had been crucified and was now dead on a cross. All His enemies were celebrating and it seemed Satan had won. But fortunately the story was not over because God WAS NOT FINISHED! 🙏🏽
