I can't unwind these conflicts but overall: The point was to get the sport more attention, specifically from non-endemic audiences. This award is a nice way to make more publicity out of an owner who did just that. Also, this isn't the Eclipse Awards. Nobody got slighted.

He is a professional content creator. His income is his brand and his social posts. He leverages both to promote racing. It's his living, not a hobby. And he's extending his brand to promote the sport. That value is measurable im hard dollars.
