In honor of journalists wounded and killed every year doing their jobs in the battlefield, the Paris Olympics torch bearers today were Chrisتينا Assi & Dylan Collins both wounded during an Israeli strike on south Lebanon in 2023. Great to see you two! 💪🏾

Last gala (Nov 2, 2023), the killing of multiple journalists in Israeli strikes was essentially ignored. Since then, 116 have died (Committee to Protect Journalists). This year I sincerely hope Israel's silencing of human rights journalism amounts to much more than a brief mention by Lisa LaFlamme

Something that Tanya Talaga said a couple of weeks ago that hasn’t left me: when you think of Murray, think of the weight of hearing thousands of accounts of untold horror, and the toll it would take on your body. Think of taking that on. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

The delusion of a Prime Minister to think he can pre-fire a long loyal Finance Minister, then ask her to deliver the Fall Economic Statement, and then humiliate her a day later by bringing in an unelected outsider to fix her mistakes is the absolute apex of incompetence.

Chrystia Freeland's resignation feels a lot like the Biden debate debacle moment. Will Justin Trudeau continue to lead or leave?

As an Ismaili Muslim, I am devastated by the news of the passing of His Highness the Aga Khan.  As a Canadian and a citizen of the world, I also mourn the loss of one of the greatest servants of humanity but I am also deeply grateful for his extraordinary life of service.
