Year One have been exploring animal groups this half term and have been learning all about amphibians! 🐸 After discovering their fascinating features, we created our own models and labelled them with the animal’s name and key characteristics. Amazing work, Year One! 🌿

In P.E., Year 3 have been developing their throwing skills as part of our new Rounders unit. The children have been learning how to throw with accuracy and power, focusing on underarm and overarm techniques.

We're incredibly proud of our Year 6 children for their dedication and effort in completing their SATs last week. To celebrate their hard work, we ended the week with a fun-filled day of drawing, painting, card games, Kahoot quizzes, sunshine, party food, and ice lollies.

This half term, our EYFS children have been learning all about Kenya. We've explored the weather, traditional foods, different types of houses, and the amazing animals found there. We wrapped up our learning by comparing what we know about Kenya with life in England.

Our Year 5 class had a brilliant afternoon celebrating their WOW Token reward. They received the most tokens as a class for excellent behaviour outside of the classroom during the Spring term.

Today in their Wellness Lesson, Year 3 read the inspiring book 'Gratitude is My Superpower'. After reflecting on the importance of being thankful, the children painted their own gratitude stones.

On Friday, Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic game of rounders as part of our Keep Moving for Mental Health initiative. The children showed great energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the game — and most importantly, had lots of fun!

Year 5 have been hard at work researching and creating their very own exhibition on natural disasters! From earthquakes and volcanoes to tsunamis and hurricanes, the children explored the causes, effects, and real-life case studies of these powerful natural events.

This week, the children had a bug-tastic time watching The Creepy Crawly Show! They were fascinated by the incredible insects and creepy crawlies, learning all sorts of fun and fascinating facts. There were plenty of wide eyes, brave hands, and excited giggles throughout the show

A huge well done to our Reading Ambassadors for raising funds for our brand new Book Swap Huts. The children researched the designs themselves. A big thank you to Mr Mike for building the huts so beautifully based on their ideas. Everyone is welcome to help themselves to a book!

Year 2 took their science learning outdoors this week! The children explored different areas of the school grounds to investigate the best place for a plant to grow. Lots of great thinking, teamwork, and discoveries in action! 🪴🌞

📊🍎 In ICT this week, Class 3 have been busy turning data into visuals! Using iPads, they created graphs to show Class 3’s favourite foods—with some surprising results! 😄

🔺🔵 Year 2 have kicked off their new Maths unit all about Shape! This week, they've been busy exploring the properties of 3D shapes — counting faces, edges, and vertices to identify and match each one. 📐 Lots of fantastic hands-on learning and brilliant discussions happening!

🪨💛 In PSHE, our Year 3 children took part in a meaningful activity exploring gratitude and well-being. They decorated their very own worry stones, using thoughtful designs inspired by the people and things they’re thankful for.

Year 5 have been busy expressing their creativity and individuality through a stunning collection of self-portraits! Using a variety of mixed media techniques—including photography, paint, sketching, and collage—they’ve created unique and thought-provoking artworks.

📚 Year 2 have been busy researching the wonderful poet Allan Ahlberg! They've loved learning about his life and exploring his poetry. A class favourite has been Please Mrs Butler — lots of laughs and brilliant performances! 🎭✨
