One of the pure delights of my job - standing in the JW3 area as hundreds of school children (and their teachers!) stream out of auditorium laughing + singing snippets of songs from the #JW3Panto. Utterly joyous Jewish culture that seems to be a hit with all ages 🥰

At the end of what’s been a grim year, it turns out there’s nothing more life affirming or surreal than a Yiddish-speaking pantomime bear wearing a bagel and gherkins. The only Jewish panto in the world (I’m guessing) at j w was like one big ridiculous simcha.

On Friday I went to JW3 for Holocaust Memorial Day Trust event. I was sitting next to a survivor who showed me her mother's yellow star. My son spoke the words of a survivor. There were photos and music. It was both moving and unbearable.
