The King's Fund research found that: ➡️ gap in obesity rates between most & least well off has ⬆️ rapidly. ➡️ it's ⬆️ most quickly among women and now = 17% points ➡️ this = more obesity related 🏥 admissions, rates in most deprived areas are 2.4 times that of most well off.

To the clinicians out there whose only recommendation to obese patients struggling with pain, dyspnea and mobility is “lose weight”: Weight loss will certainly help many of those things. BUT do you honestly think they haven’t tried and/or aren’t actively trying?
