Some incredible students in Gaza have worked tirelessly with colleagues here to secure scholarships to study in UK. They have succeeded. Their universities have issued them places. The funds are in place. The Home Office MUST NOW make provision for their evacuation & visas 1/

Home Office The ONLY thing preventing students from taking up their places is visas & evacuation. At present no visas are being issued. Offices closed in May 2024. It's taken herculean efforts to get paper work together by students and institutions alike. The numbers are shamefully small 2/

Home Office This is a situation of acute humanitarian emergency and there is a simple thing the HO can do. It can evacuate those who have met their criteria. Ireland and France have both succeeded in doing so. What is stopping us? /
