I really enjoyed writing about new and recent books on film (and more) for The Film Stage 📽 again in 2024. This was my last column of the year and it’s packed with gems. More to come in 2025!

It’s time once again for my top 10 of the year list for The Film Stage 📽, and I found much to enjoy in 2024 … BTW, I’m quite pleased this list gave me a chance to mention the use of Blur and The Verve in Andrea Arnold’s BIRD (as well as its priceless “dad music” joke). On to 2025!

If the Bills lose tomorrow, I’m throwing myself back into Twin Peaks.😭
