Exactly Patricia Karvelas ! There was a federal anti abortion bill put up by Vic senator Babet debated in the senate just 8 weeks ago which was supported by a number of LNP and cross bench senators. It is ridiculous for people to say that it is just a state issue #insiders

LMAO. Tommy Robinson was sued for defamation, he lost, was ordered to pay £100,000 & stop defaming the plaintiff. Instead of appealing, Tommy just ignored the court’s orders Hence the 18 month prison sentence for contempt of court (which he pleaded guilty to!)

Sex workers often don't report crimes because they are not taken seriously This was a catalyst for decriminalisation Given the experience of sex workers you can't help wonder if the outcome would have been different if the women weren't sex workers abc.net.au/news/2024-10-2…

This November conservative states such as Florida and North Dakota will vote to legalise and the regulate adult use of cannabis. And it will become legal at a federal level soon. Lovely hearing @ricksteves simply explaining why cannabis should be legal

Excellent report on medicinal cannabis and driving by former magistrate Tony Parsons Sensible thoughtful and in no doubt that patients should be allowed to drive when taking medicine as prescribed and not impaired parliament.vic.gov.au/4ab3cc/globala…

And just like that! The Vic parl passed without division an amendment that means that if a medicinal cannabis patient tests positive, but was taking their medicine as prescribed and not impaired the magistrate will not automatically cancel their license amp.abc.net.au/article/104548…

I’m not sure any person in the history of this country has ever been given more in government contracts and subsidies from Democrats than Elon Musk.

Dear MAGA Who are you? What have you become? How do you heal? What does tomorrow look like? It will get worse before it gets better, but it is time to take off the rose-colored lenses and think freely again. Vote this motherfucker out and reclaim who you were before you gave

Dr. Glover has dedicated her life to helping people stop smoking in NZ and it's paid off NZ smoking rates have almost halved in 5 years due to safer nicotine products like vapes and govt support for tobacco harm reduction Why we don't we follow? #auspol filtermag.org/new-zealand-ma…

Big congrats to the campaigners for bringing light to this issue A positive result with more to do Conscientious objection is personal not corporate #AbortionAccess Concerns of 'unspoken ban' in abortion care in regional Australia abc.net.au/listen/program… via ABC Australia

So the bottom line is that he wants to spend less money on education. Fact check the US does not spend more than other countries. They are a fair way down the list. aljazeera.com/news/2023/9/8/….

Vic gov introducing more penalties on already illegal tobacco and vaping As they say doing the same thing and expecting a different result … Look to NZ same tobacco taxes but smokers are offered an easy, cheaper and safer alternative #vaping #vicpol

Found an interesting document on the history of prohibition and in particular tobacco. As Australian govts continue to use penalties and prohibition maybe they can take some inspiration here. #vaping #prohibitiondoesnotwork

Thanks Kevin Bonham this provides an excellent example of how the senate system works. Unfortunately parties like UAP put up candidates like Babet and then spend millions to get them elected. And to be honest I am hoping to win the 6th senate spot in the 2025 election :)
