Lovely to see people enjoying Limerick Milk Market on a Sunday morning for our own “brocante” in #Limerick. I was even lucky enough to find a lovey present for my mum’s birthday too from Eamonn Baggott of Rathkeale

@tararoonies Agree ! This is an old post office in Houston which was not demolished..they repurposed the inside to be a food hall and event space. Converted the roof to a garden where people could see views and enjoy the views. It’s a fantastic place and Sarsfield house could be the same !

Offices can be converted to Housing. Considering 2030 DAC beautiful retrofit of Gardens Int, would expect they consider the same environmentally friendly approach to Sarsfield House. We are in a Housing Crisis afterall . . .

Limerick Council - Comhairle Luimnigh John Moran, Mayor of Limerick Spoke with Michael Tiernan, owner of Arthur's Quay Shopping Centre and a very nice man, in University Of Limerick City Campus. We agreed Limerick's most urgent priority is Residential Development and he has pledged to dedicate the majority of a potential AQ expansion to #HousingforAll

Fionán Coughlan John Moran, Mayor of Limerick Either directly elected or indirectly elected. But for local government to become meaningful again there has to be democratic accountability for the exercise of executive powers. At present we’re the most centralised state in Europe.

Members of the local community turned out today to help save 22 New Road, Thomondgate, the home of Michael Hogan, Bard of Thomond (1832-99). Acquired by the council in 2017 & left to rot. FG, FF & Lab voted to demolish it. Another loss to #Limerick’s cultural & built heritage.
