The #WeekoftheYoungChild continues! Today, we highlight First 5 Alameda’s advocacy for policies grounded in racial equity. Our Gov’t Affairs & Policy team is in Sacramento for #First5AdvocacyDay, championing resources for Alameda County children to succeed! 💪

This #WeekoftheYoungChild, we’re sharing how we work to fund community-based initiatives that support young children and families in need in Alameda County. By partnering with local organizations, we’re giving every child the chance to thrive. 🌱

As part of #WeekoftheYoungChild, we highlight our partnerships and the role they play in preparing children for kindergarten. By working with families, public systems, community orgs, and more, we ensure kids have the resources they need to live happy and healthy lives!

Black mothers are disproportionately more likely to face health challenges during pregnancy and postpartum. During #BlackMaternalHealthWeek, it’s crucial that we address the disparities Black mothers face with urgency and care. Equity means every mother can access care & support.
