🗓️ On 17 June 1915, hero pilot Rex Warneford VC died in a crash, just 10 days after downing the first Zeppelin. His kit toured Britain to raise funds for troops, who asked for thin underwear, handkerchiefs & short drawers to cope with the Aegean in July. bit.ly/3Sa1N5U
