As of May 2024, the national inflation rate has decreased to 3.3%, and the Southern Region's inflation rate is slightly lower at 3.2%. Both the rates fell by 0.1 percentage points since April 2024. Inflation has been fairly steady this year - above the Federal Reserve's target

The latest May job numbers show an increase of 222,200 jobs in FL over the year. The state has gained a slight increase of 6,000 jobs in the past month. With an unchanged unemployment rate of 3.3%, the open jobs ratio remains 91 unemployed Floridians for every 100 open jobs.
