#HurricaneMilton's reach will be far and wide — the coastal Everglades not excluded. Areas in the western Everglades like the Ten Thousand Islands, Everglades City and Flamingo are expected to be impacted by damaging storm surge. We'll continue to monitor Milton's impacts.

The Everglades — the ever-beating heart of Florida — are a symbol of resilience and life, constantly remaining through generations of battles. Let’s draw from that strength and remember we are resilient, too.  Stay safe, Florida, and look out for one another.

We oppose Amendment 2 because: ❌ There’s no need for this amendment to the Florida Constitution. ❌ The amendment is not based on science. ❌ It could have unintended consequences. ❌ It’s driven by special interests. ❌ It could threaten private property rights.

Red tide is fed by Lake Okeechobee discharges. Lake O discharges are caused by Big Sugar's rigged water-management system. Be part of the solution: everglades.org/rescue/
