🚨TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Rainbow bridge closed for several hours.

Advisory: From 9 a.m. to noon today, the Folsom Fire Department, in partnership with Folsom Police Department, Metro Fire of Sacramento, and CA State Parks, will conduct water rescue training at Black Miners Bar and surrounding areas. Be aware and use caution in this area during the training.

Yesterday, City of Folsom Fire Academy 22-1 participated in live fire training. This experience is essential in establishing the basics of firefighting. Special thanks to the Cosumnes Fire Dept. for allowing us to use their training facility and Folsom CERT for rehabilitation support.

Back to School Extravaganza hosted by Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and Twin Lakes Food Bank was a success! There were lots of happy kids with new backpacks and school supplies. Folsom Fire Department is always happy to support these events that do great things for our community.

Doug Veerkamp General Engineering started breaking ground last week on Fire Station 34 in the Folsom Plan Area! The phase two construction will start soon, and we are anticipating a November/December 2023 completion.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire last night in the Folsom Historic District. Fire was limited to one building, and one dog was rescued. No other injuries were reported.
