🚨 ICYMI: 1.4 million emergency food parcels were provided by food banks in our community in just 6 months. This isn't right. Everyone should have enough money to afford the essentials.

A lovely video showing the vital work Gateshead Foodbank do, not only in providing emergency food but a listening ear, financial inclusion support, and a glimmer of hope.

The stage is set for an interesting couple of hours with the Welcome Hub network, discussing the most pressing food issues for refugee and asylum seeking communities in Gateshead, and what action we can take collectively. Thanks Julian Prior for organising and facilitating.
