The incomes of people at #foodbanks are so low for 2 reasons: 1. Their work isn’t well-paid or secure 2. They can’t work and aren’t getting enough support to ensure there’s enough money to live on We need to change this.

Nelson and Jacob visited Clatterbridge Cancer Charity today to give them a donation of £14,531! The same amount has gone to Wirral Foodbank and The Boaz Trust🧡.🎉 These donations were possible thanks to the many people who supported Nelson in his legal case, which didn't have to go to court.

1 in 6 people referred to our food banks have no internet. That's 1 in 6 who can't access the internet to search for jobs, manage bills or keep in touch with family. But we CAN change this - by updating our social security system so it covers the costs of the essentials. 💚

We have been speaking, listening and gathering stories from our foodbank users this month. This will help understand what drives people to use foodbanks - universal credit not being enough to cover essentials, caring responsibilities, being in-between jobs, unfair sanctions
