Wednesday 12 June 2024 was an historic moment in the life of our Diocese of Broken Bay as the site of our new Eileen O’Connor school for children with special needs at Tuggerah on NSW Central Coast was blest by Bishop Randazzo. A most significant initiative of many years work.

Today our Parish of Chatswood celebrates the Italian heritage of a number of our community, with a bi-lingual Mass in both English and Italian, honoring the recent feast day of St Anthony of Padua on 13 June. Such celebrations highlight the cultural diversity of our parish.

It is always a joy to welcome students from Pius X College and Mercy College - the two secondary colleges in our parish precinct - at our Sunday evening Eucharist. We are particularly mindful of our students preparing for their HSC exams.

Our Parish of Chatswood announces that we have received a first-class relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis, the remarkable young saint baptised at Our Lady of Dolours, Chelsea UK. May his permanent presence with us be an invitation for many young people especially to visit us and pray.

Our Lady of Dolours Chatswood looks forward to the permanent installation of the first class relic of Carlo Acutis in our church when we celebrate his FeastDay on 12 October 2024. May the new chapel be a place of pilgrimage and possibility especially for young people.
