🚨 now out in Trends in Cognitive Sciences: Clinicians noted for decades how planning & anxiety are linked. Yet, computational psychiatry thus far failed to show how. I argue that we need to broaden how we model planning to reveal its *biases* in chronic anxiety: authors.elsevier.com/a/1kAJC4sIRvTB…

📢 New publication with affective.brain in Nature Human Behaviour Key finding: Human-AI interactions create feedback loops, where AI amplifies human biases, which are then further internalized by humans across perceptual, emotional & social domains. nature.com/articles/s4156… 🧵1/6

Studying how humans learn a diversity of world models is key to understanding intelligence. To study how, apply to join our lab, with access to tools like OPM-MEG and VR. We have fully funded PhD and postdoc positions. Reach out with interest (send CV to [email protected]).

Thrilled to share Matan Rubin 's first empirical paper, just out in Nature Human Behaviour. A significant step in understanding how people respond to AI vs human empathy, and what we value in human connection.

Is risk-taking shaped by decision-making or by learning? In a new Nature Communications paper led by Alon Erdman, we show that in experience-based risk-taking, very little variance is explained by decision-making (top), but a lot is explained by learning (bottom). nature.com/articles/s4146…
