We are looking for a #postdoc in innate immunity and host-pathogen interactions! Projects include #trainedimmunity #interferons #humanizedmice #alveolarmacrophages #lung. Rutgers University Rutgers New Jersey Medical School @RutgersBHS Please share/RT!

Resistance to antimicrobial fatty acids is essential for bacterial life on human skin. See Arnaud Kengmo solve the old mystery of the #S.aureus FAME mechanism!

New #HinesLabUGA paper from Kingsley (Familyking)! Kingsley developed a really simple method to extract lipids from S. aureus! No need to separate two layers, and no need to dry down the extract before LC-MS! link.springer.com/article/10.100…

We proudly welcome Dr. Victor J. Torres as chair of the newly formed St. Jude Department of Host-Microbe Interactions, which will focus on treating and preventing disease-causing infections in children. bit.ly/43Rrr3m Victor J. Torres

Thrilled to present Robbie Kuiack paper describing role of S. aureus fad genes in metabolizing palmitic acid. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/mm… In absence of fad gene function, palmitic acid becomes toxic, including reduced viability in abscess model.

A postdoc position is available in my lab at UChicago to work on various aspects of (bacterial) cell biology using cryo-ET. Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected]. Re-tweeting and spreading the word is highly appreciated. Thank you!

My lab at UChicago Department of Microbiology is hiring! We are looking for a research tech to work with us studying mechanisms of bacterial stress response and pathogenesis. Would be a great opportunity for recent college grads looking for research experience. Please spread the word! Links below
