I’m just beyond thrilled and proud of the incredible launch of #BSLinOurHands on Monday, calling on the government to invest in free BSL access for all families of deaf children. It’s beyond unthinkable that in 2024 you have to pay to learn to communicate with your deaf child.

Headteacher Dani Sive and Deputy Headteacher Catherine Drew were honoured to present at the British Deaf Association BSL conference in Manchester on what Deaf children need to be ‘school ready’. (26 April 2024). Brilliant day with excellent speakers!

The RT Hon Sir Stephen Timms, the Minister of State (minister for social security and disabilities) enjoyed a tour of our school and joined the Education subgroup of the BSL advisory board with Heads, DHTs, DIs and BDA CEO to share views on BSL and Deaf Ed.
