I have never seen anybody who read WEEP NOT, CHILD by Ngugi Wa Thiong'o who did not love the book. Another such book is Camara Laye's African Child. We don't talk about these books enough. But even 100 years from now people will fall in love with them all over the world everyday.

for OkayAfrica, I explored the legacy of Kenya’s greatest author, Ngugi wa Thiong’o, who recently passed at 87. much thanks to Frank Njugi and Michael Chièdoziém Chúkwúderà for speaking to me. definitely one of the most enjoyable stories I’ve worked on recently. okayafrica.com/ngugi-wa-thion…
