Republicans care so much about SNAP benefits that they just cut them by 186 billion dollars.

The general populace isn’t sufficiently incensed. The only food source for millions of people, including infants, is about to disappear. Canceling SNAP benefits during the holidays is diabolical.

We can’t let this happen. And any Republican who refuses to renew health care subsidies for hardworking American families, saying we can’t afford it, needs to explain how they found $1 trillion in tax cuts to give away to the wealthiest people in America.

40% of SNAP recipients are kids, 18% are elderly, 11% are disabled and of the rest, ~70% already have jobs. So unless your company’s hiring Junior Juice Box Interns, grandma and her walker, or knows how to fit more hours in a day, maybe cool it with the “just get a job” takes.

Throughout this shutdown, Trump has decided to just continue funding parts of the government he deems worthy. If he wanted to maintain SNAP, he could. But he already signed the largest cut in the program's history in July. Does this sound like someone who cares about SNAP?
