Just finished our 8th week of speed training in PE. Students had 6 days running 40s and 6 running Freelap USA 10y fly’s (we played competitive games on the other days and only meet every other day). Here’s what happened:

I think the cat-feeders out there can relate to Alec’s thread. Timing short sprints and #RecordRankPublish changes kids. Love seeing this in middle school PE.

Feeling slower in-season? Have you trained speed this week? Saturdays we’re at Brentwood Park training for SPEED. Certified coaching + scientific programming all timed on the Freelap Timing System.

We've moved our more advanced athletes to a 20y lead for a 10y Fly on the Freelap (previously a 15y lead). Helen is still an 8th grader currently playing football and soccer simultaneously for her MS teams.
