It wouldn't be #PollinatorWeek without highlighting one of nature’s most unexpected pollinators: lemurs! 🌿🦠 In Madagascar, lemurs help traveler's palm trees thrive by spreading pollen that gets on their dense fur from feeding on their flowers.

Over 200,000 species—including not just bees, but also thousands of other insects, birds, and small mammals—play a vital role in pollinating our food supply. You can learn about some of them in our Big Bugs walkthrough exhibit. #PollinatorWeek

Its everyone's favorite 'pookiepine' 🥰 . Our baby porcupine now has a name! Named after a delicious Latin American pastry, meet Empanada. He has been growing and munching on leaves completely unaware of his social media stardom.

Meet Ime (pronounced EE-May). Ime was born May 12th and can be seen at our colobus habitat usually holding tight to mother, Shani, or big sister, Pi. Like all colobus babies, she was born completely white and will begin growing black hair over the next few months. 📸: ZCS Heather
