Last night, we celebrated our Summer Academy students against the backdrop of the Mondor Center! From research in the Human Performance Lab to providing patient care, they’re making a real impact. Many thanks to our donors, partners, & world-class faculty for making it possible.

Congratulations to Mo Thiam ’25, Paige Duggan ’26, and Dylan Hernandez ’26 on being selected to present their research at Brown University’s inaugural National Undergraduate Research Conference! They were among 200 undergraduates chosen from 115 institutions nationwide.

This spring, in partnership with the Chirico Career Center, we co-hosted the 2nd Annual Careers in Healthcare event. The evening brought students across all majors and Providence College Alumni together for meaningful conversations about life after college and careers in healthcare.

Last week, Dr. Amy Delaney shared her research at the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood conference, an international forum focused on ages 18–29. Her participation highlights the SNHS’s commitment to faculty scholarship and academic leadership.

In April, Elyse Oakley, Ph.D., assistant prof. of philosophy, and students in her Biomedical Ethics course visited the A&P Lab for a convo on the use of medical cadavers. Using the Anatomage Table as a case study, they explored consent, commercialization, & moral responsibility.

This summer, several SNHS students are part of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island's summer internship program. Recently they met with President & CEO Martha Wofford, who shared insights on leadership and careers in healthcare. We’re grateful for partners who create meaningful learning experiences.

Dr. Brett Ely, assistant prof. of HSC and HPM at PC, led Shea Podbelski ’27 & Jillian Vichi ’27 through 34 hours of data collection at the Western States Endurance Run—the world’s oldest 100-mile trail race. They looked at hydration, core temp, and kidney health in ultramarathon runners.
