Services at Glossop and Hadfield Stations stood until the points failure is resolved. The next three services out of Piccadilly to Glo/Hdf are CANCELLED.

CANCELLATION. The 2233 Man Picc to Glossop/Hadfield is CANCELLED due to lack of staff. We expect that the last train of Saturday night (2329 departure from Piccadilly) will still run as planned.

On this day in 1940 3000 schoolchildren were evacuated by trains from #Lowestoft station to safety in #Notts & #Derbyshire away from the treat of wartime bombing & invasion. All former Lowestoft evacuees are invited to their Summer Reunion at Lowestoft station this Saturday
