FriendsofWD The National Lottery Community Fund Hackney Council How lovely. Here’s to all of them - Mums, Aunties, Grandmothers, child minders, carers, all the women who look after us and help us to look after each other.

🍓 By getting more good food to our network of charities and community groups, it means we can help support organisations FriendsofWD provide healthy and nutritious options to their users.

Thanks so much for your visit yesterday, so great to meet you Hackney Libraries and thanks for speaking with our members, now they are aware of your services, that's fantastic, and oooooh there is nothing quite like a good book! 😄 #HackneyCommunityLibrary Hackney Council

Had a lovely time popping into FriendsofWD’s regular Tuesday coffee and activity morning this week - as always full of warmth and fun and run by some absolute superstars - find out more about them here: friendsofwd.wixsite.com/fowd

Each week we host activities for older people. Tunde from Tado Cermanics leads pottery sessions, showing our members clay work techniques to create, decorate and paint a range of stunning pots! It's never too late to learn something new!! ✨️ #Over50s #Hackney The National Lottery Community Fund

Enormous thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund for supporting our community work, looking forward to our #over50s workshops and singalongs enabling hard to reach older people access to our creative activities. #ThankYOU! #connectingcommunity #olderpeople #Wellbeing

We have been out & about in our #community, #Hackney meeting, singing & dancing with #olderpeople, serving cups of tea, talking, sharing stories, having fun, reducing isolation & loneliness, creating smiles & good times!! Thank you The National Lottery Community Fund for your support #makingadifference.

We've been out & about in our local community promoting Over 50s Access to sports, a fun table tennis project for #olderpeople, offering weekly, term time sessions to reduce social isolation and loneliness, bringing #over50s together! Supported by Sport England.

#TableTennis is a great sport to keep you moving & active. You can play a slow low impact game or pick up the pace, depending on mobility, a fantastic way to improve hand eye coordination. Thanks to Sport England for funding our project, let's keep playing!

Thank you Tom Clarke for inviting us to speak at your health justice conference Nonfed today. It’s vital that Wes Streeting Ashley Dalton MP hear why community led solutions are vital. And to radically reimagine care whilst rooting it in decolonization. #nhs Dr Paul Gilluley🌈

We raised a glass (Coconut water) to honour our #Windrush Elders, to those who are no longer with us, we gave thanks for their contribution, for answering the call, their strength & determination. Each year we keep their legacy alive! #windrushday Hackney Council Notting Hill Genesis
