Tonight I convened an emergency meeting on DC high school football with the some of the city’s top coaches to discuss strengthening the ecosystem for our student‑athletes. Thanks to host Michael Locksley for hosting us at the University of Maryland and for sharing his wisdom.

I put a name from the top PG County public team (CH Flowers Athletics) and the top DC public team (Friendship Football) in our midseason All Met watch. - RB Kodi Gardner from Flowers with 851 yards on 96 carries - LB Kemontae Chaplin with 15 sacks for Friendship in seven games
