365 Days of DIY pt 2 DAY 181: Bob Vylan Until yesterday I had never heard of Bob Vylan, so I had to do some research. Not only is his music incredible, and his message real AF, but homie also does it ONE HUNDRED PERCENT DIY. What a freaking badass. Huge ups and I’m a new fan.

365 Days of DIY pt 2 DAY 182: Mike Huguenor FFO: The Smile, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin One of the coolest artists out there right now who doesn’t get nearly the attention deserved. Mikes new album STWWTA is a 40 minute monster that every single person should hear.

Recording drums for LP2 was an INSANE ride. We refused to compromise/use fake drums, but recording with only 2 mics & getting the sound we wanted was a long, tough process. Each song took 4-6 hours to track while we did each drum/cymbal separately, but WOW. They turned out NUTS.

We might be getting older and more broke by the day, but at least we have this crumbling economy, the existential horrors and a dystopian future to keep us going.

I don’t normally like sharing lyrics early, but this song off LP2 about losing/changing the person you are to keep someone you love around is one of my favorites off the album.

Too much drumming back then had ruined my wrist lmaoooo But what a throwback to good friends and fun trips. Love these dudes.
