Fixed it for you. The BMA is asking for pay restoration over a number of years. Even after doctors pay is restored, they will still start on less than their assistants already start on.

CT2s are senior doctors. They are usually post-Royal College exams. Medical IMT2s often act in MedReg roles. I know I did. In London, these MedReg equivalent doctors are paid less than newly qualified PAs who have neither medical qualifications nor training:

Here, medically unqualified PAs are given permanent jobs, guaranteed pay progression, paid higher than doctors, for years. Why is this, Department of Health and Social Care and Wes Streeting?

This is not allowed btw. The FPA-RCP and RCP guidance said they are not allowed to use such misleading titles and must identify themselves distinctly/strictly as “PA”, and no other derivative. This is essentially stolen credibility.
