Funny Cow with Maxine Peake on Film 4 at 11.15 pm.tonight. A brilliant film . The actress who plays her as a child using wit as a defence against a bullying father and brother in tne back streets of Manchester is amazing.

No matter where I am, or what I’m doing, I can promise you that I’d drop it all to watch this film. Funny Cow is a masterpiece 👌✨

My movie choice for tonight is the extremely gritty comedy-drama, 'Funny Cow', featuring an amazing performance from Maxine Peake as a female comedian in the northern club circuit of the late 70's. Set the VCR for 00:10 on Channel 4. - Jamie

If Stephen Graham on BBC1 in "Time" at 9pm isn't Peaky enough for you, may I recommend "Funny Cow" on C4 at 12.10 this evening/morning with no less than 3 Peaky actors: Paddy Considine, Stephen Graham (again) and Tony Pitts who also wrote it. Plus the talented Maxine Peake.

#FunnyCow Really good film on Channel 4 #MaxinePeake is characteristically brilliant as usual. It has moments of comedy, pathos, bathos, social commentary, terrible interior design and stellar acting.
